Just after 12:00 PM Monday, we were contacted by a home-owner who advised that she had located a sawed-off shotgun in her daughter’s bedroom. The shotgun was removed from the residence by another family member and was recovered by members who attended to the call. A 15 year-old male was subsequently identified as being responsible for bringing the weapon into the residence, and was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon, along with multiple other weapon-related charges. The youth was also the subject of two warrants for arrest for failing to appear in court and for failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today
