BPS seek public’s help locating suspect in Major Cocaine Trafficking Case

On April 17th at 8:25PM, as a result of a CDSA (Controlled Drugs & Substances Act) investigation, Police arrested a 20-year-old male in the Corral Centre. The male was transported to Brandon Police Service.
The BPS Organized Crime Section executed a CDSA Search Warrant of the male’s hotel room located in the 900 block of Middleton Avenue where he was residing. As a result, approximately 56.1 grams of Cocaine, approximately $28,000 in Canadian currency, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a cell phone were seized.
The male was held for court in the morning on charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000. A Release Order was given with conditions and a court date of May 15th, 2025. Two conditions included were to reside at his Winnipeg address and “must not attend to the Community of Brandon except for Court purposes”.
The male failed to attend court on May 15th, 2025.
A Warrant for Arrest has been issued for 20-year-old Armando Velasquez-Gutierrez.
