The 61st Canadian National Arabian and Half Arabian Horse Show are in Brandon at the Keystone Centre until August 18th.  The show is an incredible tourism boom to Brandon and Westman. Brandon man charged after allegedly stealing video projector, alcohol, food

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On two separate occasions in July a residential pool compound located in the 3200 Block of Rosser Avenue was entered with a number of items being stolen. Items stolen included a video projector and some alcohol and food. Through the subsequent investigation Police were able to identify a 20-year-old Brandon man as the one responsible. He was located on Sunday and charged with two counts of Break, Enter and Theft and will appear in Court in October.

Late night crash in Brandon’s east end

Late Sunday night, at around 11:00pm, Brandon Fire and Emergency Services and Brandon Police Service responded for a two-vehicle collision. The crash happened in the intersection of Lorne Ave East and Percy Street, in Brandon's east end. Both cars appeared to be damaged and were blocking the eastbound lane of traffic on Lorne Ave East. Intoxicated male arrested after allegedly repeatedly ringing doorbell at a residence

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release Late Saturday evening at approximately 11:50, police were called to the 400 block of 13th St, where a highly intoxicated male was continuously ringing the doorbell of the same residence for a lengthy period of time.  Once located, the 35 year old male from Brandon also had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for failing to attend to Court and Breaching his Probation order.  He was arrested and lodged at BCC to appear before a Justice on Sunday morning.

Two subjects charged for alleged possession of drugs for purpose of trafficking

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release Late Saturday evening at approximately 23:15 hrs, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Princess Ave, on a suspicious vehicle registered to a rental company.  The occupants of the vehicle were arrested as part of a drug investigation. Police deployed one of their K9’s who indicated on a Controlled Drug and/or substance being in the centre console area of the vehicle.  The search resulted in locating approximately $1200.00 in cash and over 40 circular pieces of blotter paper, consistent with how LSD or Ecstasy can be sold.  Two subjects were arrested and charged with the Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possessing the Proceeds of Crime.  One of the males was also found to be bound by a Court ordered Recognizance with conditions not to attend the City of Brandon except for court purposes.   Both males in their 30’s, from Edmonton, were held in custody at BCC pending a court appearance on Sunday afternoon
