Westman Communications Group (WCG) capped off this year’s #ConnectingWestman Tour on a high note in Roblin, MB, last Thursday, September 8, 2022.

WCG has instituted its #ConnectingWestman Tour to run every summer for it to better connect with and give back to its communities. As it visited towns across Manitoba, the Tour held an open house for the community to have an opportunity to chat with our friendly staff and learn more about how WCG and its services can enrich their lives. At the heart of the Tour was the charity barbecue fundraising event that allowed the community to donate to their selected local charity.

The charity barbecue in Roblin was held at the parking lot of the local Co-op Food Store. It was warmly received by the generous community, which donated $1,527.50. WCG matched this with its dollar-for-dollar donation for a total of $3,055.00 going towards the Roblin Playgrounds Revitalization Project.

With the conclusion of the Roblin run, the #ConnectingWestman Tour raised and donated
$13,042.70 to the four local charities of the communities it has visited. Prior to Roblin, the Tour also had stops in Minnedosa, Dauphin and Neepawa.

“We are pleased both with the generous support shown by the communities we visited and with the opportunity that WCG had to contribute to causes that are truly important to them,” said Westman Communications Group Marketing Manager Courtney Baxter. “We are proud to support local and positively impact the communities we serve. Being able to go to different communities each year with the #ConnectingWestman Tour makes us feel more connected to our members, and the local fundraising causes that matter to them. We look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.”
