Just before 5:00 on Friday afternoon, Brandon Fire & Emergency Services and Brandon Police Service responded to a dumpster fire in the 500 block of 8th St.
The dumpster was in a back lane behind Dulux Paints, and was very close to the rear of the building. An open vent near the fire was cause for concern, however, no fire had extended to the building.
BFES extinguished the fire quickly with the use of a brush truck. Fire and police cleared within half an hour. Photos by Liam Pattison Photography.
