Hundreds of fans lined up outside of the Keystone Centre’s UCT Pavilion on Monday afternoon to see Brandon-born, NHL defenceman, Joel Edmundson and the Stanley Cup.

Derek Sobkow got in line earlier in the day to attend the free viewing party. “Even though I’m a die-heard Leafs fan, I wanted to come out and recognize Joel and the Blues for capturing the cup this year” said Sobkow. “It’s a special trophy and I’m glad I will have an opportunity to take a picture alongside it” added Sobkow.

In addition to the viewing party at the Keystone Centre, Edmundson also made several other stops with the Stanley Cup including Murray Chevrolet Cadillac, the Sportsplex, and Outperforme Athletics.

According to the NHL, the Cup will travel through eight provinces, seven states, five countries, and close to 40,000 kilometers this summer.
