Greig, Hunt to represent Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship

Earlier today Hockey Canada announced that Ridly Greig and Daemon Hunt were both named to the 25-man roster for the upcoming 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship. Greig had an impressive 2021-2022 campaign with the Brandon Wheat Kings registering 63 points in only 39 regular season games. He was drafted in the first round, 28th overall by Ottawa Senators in the 2020 NHL draft. Last season, the 172lb forward was named captain of the Wheat Kings.

Like Greig, Hunt had an outstanding campaign in 2021-222 with the Moose Jaw -Warriors. The Brandon born defensemen picked up 39 points in 46 games during the regular season. He was drafted in the third round, 65th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2020 NHL draft.

The tournament runs from  Aug. 9-20 in Edmonton, Alta. Canada kicks off its tournament against Latvia on the 10th.
