Intoxicated man arrested allegedly trying to force entry into residence

On October 29, 2019 shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 200 block of 16th street E.

The homeowner reported an intoxicated male began by ringing his doorbell to try to get inside, stating he lived there. The intoxicated male then forced his way inside through a window, breaking household items in the process.

The homeowner was able to push the intruder back out the window and call police.

The male left on foot, and attempted to run from police when located. After a brief foot pursuit, the male was stopped and arrested on Delta Bay.

The 41-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter and Resist Arrest.
