Have you ever been so frustrated that you just wanted to smash everything in the room? Now, thanks to Kickin’ Axe Throwing you have that opportunity. The downtown based business recently expanded services and added a “wreck room” where patrons can safely vent their rage by destroying objects.
The concept of the wreck room is quite simple. You book a timeslot to demolish a variety of items ranging in size from dinner plates & ceramics to TV’s & electronics. Kickin’ Axe Throwing can supply the items or you do have the option of bringing in your own items. Pricing varies depending on the size of the object and whether or not you are bringing in your own items. The company provides all the necessary safety equipment (face protection, coveralls, gloves, etc), and the tools to get the job done (hammers, bats, wrecking bars, among others). Best part of it all, they will even clean it all up for you once you are done.
Owner Darcy Low told bdnmb.ca that he currently has an inventory available to purchase for your smashing needs, but the supply is limited. Anyone looking to clear out and donate old/damaged items they no-longer require can contact Darcy on the company’s Facebook page here.
Kickin’ Axe Throwing first opened in Brandon in October of 2017. In July of 2020 they relocated to their current address at 1203 Princess Ave. It’s a great location for stags/stagette’s, birthday/anniversary celebrations, corporate team building or for a fun night out with friends. They have a variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase, as well as an appetizer menu provided by The Dock on Princess. They are now also licensed to serve alcohol.
