A team of 11 boys from Baldur, Binscarth, Brandon, Miniota, Plumas, Russell and Strathclair will be traveling to Cuba April 17th to 25th, 2019 to play baseball with 3 different teams and to participate in a baseball clinic with local Cuban children. They will also be spending time at a Cuban School. The players that are going will be representing our country as ambassadors for our communities!
The team is currently fundraising, collecting monetary donations, new or gently used baseball equipment and school supplies from local baseball associations, companies and individuals. These funds will help with shipping their donations to Cuba, purchasing items (school supplies, hygiene products, soaps, toothbrushes, candy, etc) needed in Cuba to be given to the baseball clubs and school children,
They will be hosting a hot dog fundraiser on the 6th of April at the Sobeys in the Brandon Shoppers Mall from 11am-4pm. A hot dog and a drink will cost you $2.00. Donations of NEW school supplies and gently used baseball equipment can be dropped off to be taken and given to the children in Cuba. Proceeds will be used for team expenses / travel / items to be purchased and donated to children in Cuba.
