On July 17, 2022, police responded to a report of the theft of a wallet containing credit cards from a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of College Ave. The suspect made several purchases on a credit card at local businesses before the owner had an opportunity to cancel them. Security footage from a business assisted police in identifying the 38-year-old male suspect.
On August 5, 2022 shortly before 1:00 am, police located and arrested the suspect as he was observed walking near the area of the 100 block of Victoria Ave. He was later released to appear in court on October 20, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud Use Credit Card.
