At approx. 4:40 this morning Officers observed a 2007 Toyota Corolla travelling the wrong direction on a one way street near the 1200 block of Princess Ave. The vehicle was stopped in the 200 block of 12th St. and the driver was identified. The 24 year old Brandon man was found to be prohibited from driving in Canada and he was therefore arrested. A search incident to arrest resulted in the discovery that he was carrying a can of pepper spray in his pocket. Further queries revealed he is the subject of a weapon prohibition order. The accused has since been released on a promise to appear in court on April 8th 2019. His charges include, Prohibited Driving, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous, and Possession of a Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order.
