Shortly before 3:00 on Monday morning, Brandon Fire & Emergency Services and Brandon Police Service responded to the corner of Braecrest Drive and 1st Street North for a report of a fully-involved structure fire.
Firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a single family dwelling with heavy fire coming from throughout the home. Fire crews made an attack on the fire from the yard before moving inside the house. A fire hydrant at the corner of 1st St. N and Braecrest Dr. was utilized for a water supply.
Manitoba Hydro also responded to the scene to help shut off utilities. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and it is currently under investigation.
