At 2:40 am Saturday morning, members of the Brandon Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the downtown area. A sawed off rifle with ammunition was seized. There were five people, three females and two males, all from Brandon, arrested inside the residence. All have been charged with a number of weapons offences including Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. All of those arrested were lodged for court later Friday morning.
