Numerous Brandon Police units were spotted in the 000 block of 9th Street on Tuesday afternoon in Brandon. The entire block was taped off with police tape, and many yellow numbered evidence markers could be seen on the sidewalk and road.
Members from the Forensic Identification Unit were on scene taking photographs, collecting pieces of evidence, and taking samples of blood found on the sidewalk on the east side of the street.
A witness described seeing people fighting in the street before at least one person was allegedly stabbed, however this has not been confirmed by police. An object that appeared to be a knife could be seen beside evidence marker 11, located in the street.
The witness also described seeing at least one person being taken away in an ambulance. The condition of that person is unknown.
