On April 27, 2022, police received a report of a sexual assault at a residence.
Investigation revealed that a 33-year-old male suspect befriended a 15-year-old female on Snapchat. The victim attended his residence on the evening of April 27, 2022 where the suspect sexually assaulted her.
After the victim left the residence, she sought assistance from an adult, who brought her to Brandon Police Service.
During the investigation, police learned that there was a second 13-year-old female victim, who was also sexually assaulted by the suspect on a separate occasion approximately one week prior.
On April 28, 2022, police arrested the 33-year-old male suspect. He was later released and will appear in court on July 4, 2022 on charges of Sexual Assault X2 and Sexual Interference X2.
