Two charged after alleged crime spree spanning multiple communities

Shortly after 10:00 AM on Saturday Police were notified by Rivers Police that two male suspects had been in their community using what appeared to be a stolen credit card.  Rivers Police were able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle which had left prior to their arrival.  Within 15 mins the vehicle was located near 1st St and Braecrest Dr in Brandon and a vehicle stop was conducted.  The investigation revealed the two males inside, 25 and 20 years of age both of Brandon were responsible for a series of offences earlier in the day.  They had stolen the truck in Brandon, then gone to Kemnay were it appears they stole items from vehicles in that community and then gone on to Rivers were they used stolen credit cards.  The two males were arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court this morning. They are charged with Theft of Vehicle, Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 3, Prohibited Driving and will also be subject to charge in Rivers for the fraudulent use of the credit card.
