On Friday, Magic beat the Edmonton Hornets 1-0 after an intense game including 2 extra Innings. As they gained momentum the team moved on and then trounced Coquitlam, B.C., 9-0.

Following a 7-5 loss to the Calgary Kaizen’s on Saturday morning, the young ladies rebounded to beat South Delta, B.C. 4-2 then South East Hawks from Oxbow, Saskatchewan 9-0. Finishing the round robin play, Magic secured a win over Unity, Saskatchewan with a 10-1 victory on Sunday.  Westman Magic finished round robin play in second place, setting them up for semifinal game against Calgary. After a solid first inning, bringing in 5 runs then adding an additional 3 runs earned them an 8-3 win in the semifinal. That advanced them to Monday’s gold medal game.

Edmonton rallied early in the final game which resulted in a very successful Silver Medal for these young and talented Westman ladies!

The U14 Magic earned the right to represent Manitoba after a solid provincial run adding to a tournament gold in Saskatoon, a Silver in Fargo, N.D. as well as a third place finish in Regina earlier in the year.
