This past weekend saw your local U14 Westman Magic Softball Team travel to Saskatoon to compete in the 2018 Presidents Tournament. The “A” level division brought in 16 teams from Alberta Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Your Westman Magic team selected from western Manitoba was well represented, going undefeated throughout the weekend, setting themselves up for the gold medal game Sunday night.
The teams offensive power, active defense and leadership of the veteran players earned them a championship title and gold medal as they defeated Sherwood Park, Alberta 3-2.
