Brandon Manitoba Ukrainian Events will be hosting a Ukraine Independence Day celebration on Saturday, August 24 at the Brandon Riverbank Discovery Centre. Among the planned entertainment is several live stage performances featuring local bands the Sawchuk Sisters and fiddling legend Boris Nowosad and Friends. The entertainment does not stop there. The Bratstva Ukrainian dance group are also scheduled to perform at the event which runs from 4 PM – 8 PM. Food and refreshments will be available. Kids activities such as bouncy castles, face painting, and crafts will be onsite as well.
