On August 28, 2019, at approximately 6:45 pm, police responded to a suspected stabbing in the 500 block of Louise Ave. Police located a 15-year-old male youth at the scene who was unresponsive. Officers initiated CPR on the male until Brandon Fire Emergency Services arrived, and transported the male to BRHC, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigation led police to arrest another 15-year-old male youth. The deceased knew the suspect, and police believe the motivation for the stabbing was personal in nature. The suspect was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court this afternoon on a charge of 1st Degree Murder.
A post mortem will be conducted today.
