Multi-Vehicle Collision; Suspect Driver Arrested

On November 4, 2021, at 9:52 am, police responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Princess Ave.  A vehicle travelling westbound on Princess Ave struck a parked car on the north side of the roadway.  The impact caused that car to then strike a second vehicle parked in front of it.  The suspect vehicle then continued to travel and turned southwest, while picking up speed.  The suspect vehicle then struck a third vehicle, which was parked, on the south side of Princess Ave, before striking a building in the 700 block of Princess Ave.  The female driver of the suspect vehicle then walked away from the scene.  Nobody was injured from these collisions.

Police located and arrested the 24-year-old female driver a short distance away.  She was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Assault with a Weapon.  She was later released and will appear in court on the warrant charges.  She also faces numerous fines under the Highway Traffic Act including: Drive Without Holding Valid Driver’s Licence, As the Driver of a Vehicle Involved in an Accident – Fail to Give Required Information, and Drive Carelessly.
