On October 13, 2022, police responded to a report of an attempted robbery at approximately 1:30 pm near the 1900 block of 1st street. Investigation revealed that three male youth attempted to steal another male youth’s cell phone by punching him and spraying him with bear mace. They were unsuccessful in getting the phone from the victim, who did not require medical attention.
Police located and arrested two of the suspects. The 14-year-old male and 15-year-old male were later released to their guardians, and will appear in court on November 29, 2022 on a charge of Attempted Robbery with a Weapon. The third suspect has yet to be arrested.
