CPRSS students win hardware at 2024 Skills Canada National Competition
The 2024 Skills Canada National Competition was held in Québec City last week with more than 500 students and apprentices from across the country competing for the title of national champion in over 40 Skill Areas at the Centre de foires d’ExpoCité. Our school brought home hardware in five different competitions this year and is easily the
highest-awarded high school in Canada! Their success is a testament to the importance of
vocational education in our overall academic curriculum. As a high school, we should be proud of our Vocational departments.
Please join us in recognizing the following CPRSS students as Medal Recipients in the 2024 Skills Canada National Competition:
• Mathew Kuszak received a Silver Medal for Autobody Repair
• Sloane Williams received a Silver Medal in Mechanical Engineering CAD
• Manu Tarubal received a Gold Medal in Architectural Technology and Design
• Oliver Sawatsky received a Gold Medal in Automobile Technology
• Alicia Decosse received a Silver Medal in Baking
Skills Canada annually recognizes the top-performing students in each Province. This year, we are thrilled to announce that Oliver Sawatsky, a Crocus Plains student from Automotive Technology, has brought home this esteemed award for the first time in our school’s history. Congratulations, Ollie, you have represented Crocus well!
