Wheat Kings defensemen, Giorgos Pantelas has been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup as part of Hockey Canada’s U18 National Team. Canada will look to capture a fourth-straight gold medal at the tournament, set for Aug. 11-16 in Brno, Czechia and Trencin, Slovakia.

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite returns to Brandon, Manitoba for the first time in 6 years on Sunday, August 17th. Brandon’s Mason Lobreau has committed to playing for the Augustana Men’s Hockey in the fall of 2025. Lobreay recently  finished his junior career with the Neepawa Titans of the MJHL. Prior to joining Neepawa, he spent a season (2021-22) with the U18 AAA Wheat Kings where he posted an impressive record of 19-2-2.

According to multiple  reports, Roger McQueen will be announcing his commitment to Providence College in next day or two. McQueen was recently the 10th overall pick in the 2025 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks.
