Motor vehicle accident remains under investigation

At approximately 6:45 AM on August 7, 2025, 911 dispatch advised of a single-vehicle rollover on the north service road just north of Highway 1. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle resting on its passenger side in the south ditch. Surveillance footage confirms the vehicle was traveling westbound on the service road when it drifted into the south ditch, struck an approach, became airborne, and flipped end-over-end before coming to a stop. The lone occupant, a 25-year-old female, was able to exit the vehicle through the sunroof. Emergency Medical Services transported the driver to hospital in serious condition. Family members were notified and attended the hospital. At the time of this report, the driver remains in the Intensive Care Unit at BRHC. Reported injuries include two fractured vertebrae and a punctured lung.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
