On March 7, 2019, Brandon police with the assistance of the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) conducted a search warrant at a residence on Parkdale Drive in relation to numerous firearms offences. As a result of the search warrant a 53 year old Brandon man was charged with the following: Unsafe Storage x2, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Possession of a prohibited device, transfer without authority x2, failing to report lost restricted firearm x2, fail to report destroyed restricted/prohibited firearm, and make false statement. He was released for court on May 2, 2019.
