On June 5, 2019, at approximately 3:56 am, police responded to a reported firearm incident in the 1000 block of 9th street. The incident occurred within a residence.
A 34-year-old female was shot, and transported to Brandon Regional Health Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was subsequently sent to Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.
All other individuals found in the residence have been brought to Brandon Police Service for questioning. Police do not believe this incident to be random.
Patrol members have remained on scene while members of Brandon Police Service Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
