As preparations continue for the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks 2020 Expedition League season, the team is excited to announce that an All Star and fan favorite will return to his spot behind the plate at Andrews Field.
LUCAS ALLEN, a sophomore Catcher from Bellevue, Washington has committed to return to the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks for this summer’s Expedition League campaign. Allen is 6’2, 190lbs and attends the University of Northern Colorado (playing for the UNC Bears) in Greenly, Colorado.
“This is fantastic to come back to Brandon this summer. We all had such fun in our first season there last year” said Allen. He added, “Now, with a new coach and new players coming in, we’ll definitely have higher expectations for sure”.
An Expedition League All Star for the Lewis Division last season, Allen caught the most games for the club last season (45), batted .288, with 44 hits, 21 RBI’s, and 3 home runs.
The second season of Wheat City Whiskey Jacks baseball gets underway on May 26, 2020.
