Accused shoplifter apprehended, found carrying a machete

On February 7^th, 2024, at 6:29 pm a business in the 1500 block of 18^th street called to report a male had stolen a hoodie and fled. The incident was caught on video surveillance. Police later located the accused, and he was arrested. He was found to have 6-inch machete on his person. He was held for court on February 8^th, 2024.
