Assault with a Weapon / Resist Arrest

On September 5th at approximately 2:42 AM, BPS officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of 4th Street. The complaint involved a 30-year-old male attempting to assault a 24-year-old male with a screwdriver.

Upon arrival, officers were met by the 30-year-old male exiting the residence. He initially resisted arrest. A screwdriver and a metal rod were recovered at the scene. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The accused was held in BPS detention cells and will appear in court in the morning.

Possession of a Weapon / Theft Under $5000

On September 4^th at approximately 6:00AM an employee from a business in the 1500 block of 1^st Street reported a female was in the restaurant acting erratically and talking to herself. She had also been there the night before and had stolen merchandise. Police attended and found the intoxicated by drug female to be in possession of a knife. The female was arrested, held in BPS detention cells, and will be released via Undertaking once sober with a future court date of November 13^th, 2025.
