Fraud with Credit Card / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On August 21st, 2024, a 36-year-old male attended a vendor and purchased $15 worth of product with a stolen credit card.  On September 30th the male was arrested and later released on an Undertaking. Court date set for December 9th, 2024.

 

Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply with Undertaking

On September 30th at 12:47PM a taxi attended to Brandon Police Service (BPS) stating they had an intoxicated customer who couldn’t pay and wouldn’t get out of the cab. Police assisted in removing the 40-year-old male and found him to be wanted on an endorsed warrant. He was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and Failure to Comply with Undertaking. He was later released with an Appearance Notice and a court date of November 28th, 2024.

 

RCMP Warrant Executed

On September 30th BPS executed a Failure to Comply with Probation warrant at Brandon Correctional Centre at the request of the RCMP. The 22-year-old male will appear in court in the morning on October 1st, 2024.

 

Disobey Court Order

On September 30th at 2:53PM reports of a 41-year-old male refusing to give back a child to the mother came in. Police phoned and reminded him of the court order and childcare agreement, but he refused. Police attended the residence and assisted in turning the child over to the mother. Court date set for November 25th, 2024.

 

Breach of Peace

On September 30th at 4:02PM police were called to a disturbance. A 24-year-old female was found to be the cause of issues and was arrested. She was held in detention cells and will be released in the morning.

 

Assault With a Weapon X2  

On September 29th BPS received a call of an assault in the 100 block of 15th Street. A 44-year-old female threated her ex with knives and left prior to police arrival. The female was located on September 30th and arrested without incident. She was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of December 9th, 2024.

 

Warrant Executed

In the early hours of October 1st police attended a home in Cornell Bay to conduct a curfew check. The 33-year-old male was home however he was wanted on a prior endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Release Order (curfew). The male was arrested and released at the scene on an Appearance Notice with court on November 25th, 2024.
