Brandon man, 37, charged after Amber Alert ends with toddler found safe
Police in northern Ontario say that a girl who was abducted in Rainy River, near the Manitoba boundary has been found safe. Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to a Chapple Township residence Saturday night and police learned a man fled the scene in a vehicle with a 3-year-old girl. The amber alert was activated early Sunday morning at around 3:00 am, and Police later issued an update on social media at 7:35 a.m. saying the girl was found.
A 37-year-old male from Brandon Man. has been charged with:
- Three counts of Assault
- One count of Choking to overcome resistance
- One count of mischief
- One count of take motor vehicle without consent
- One count of drive motor vehicle with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood
- Fail to properly wear seat belt
