Brandon Riverbank Inc., the non-profit, charitable organization responsible for the enhancement and protection of the Assiniboine River Corridor throughout our community is launching a Seat Sale Campaign for the month of May as a fundraising initiative for the Festival Park project.

Brandon families and businesses will be presented with the exciting opportunity to leave a permanent mark in our community and this beautiful new venue. For a $2,500 contribution, donors will be recognized as purchasing an amphitheatre seat and will receive a full tax receipt for their contribution. As part of this month-long campaign, each donor will be entered into a draw for the chance to win Dinner for 8 in the Private Dining Room at the 2019 Grey Owl Restaurant, courtesy of Assiniboine Community College.

Construction on the project is kicking into high gear this week, and the venue will be open for our community’s enjoyment later this summer. Featuring a covered, serviced stage, amphitheatre seating for up to 3,000, an internal trail system, two new picnic shelters and enhanced native prairie grass habitat, Festival Park will be a community gathering and celebration space capable of hosting cultural celebrations, fundraising events, music and theatre performances as well as summer concerts. Considered a legacy project to celebrate Canada 150 and Brandon’s 135th birthday, Festival Park will be a unique venue in Brandon and southwestern Manitoba that will be a place for families to make memories together for years to come.

In addition to the Seat Sale Campaign, there are a number of giving options for corporations, families and individuals who want to be part of developing this beautiful community celebration space. Committee cochairperson Dr. Trudy Corbett, states “I am very pleased to be involved in the Riverbank revitalization. Let’s embrace this exciting opportunity to work with the Assiniboine River to enhance our community for the people of Brandon and Southwestern Manitoba.” The goal of the Seat Sale Campaign is to sell 30 seats in the month of May – contact us today to learn more about how you can become part of this exciting community project!
