The Milk Bar is coming to Food Truck Warz! Elevate your experience by sampling Dairy Farmers of Canada’s complimentary gourmet milkshakes! Choose from three flavourful concoctions, each one shaken up with local ingredients and dairy made with 100% quality Canadian milk. "The event continues to grow, and is gaining more credibility each and every year," said Darryl Wolski, one on the event organizers. "In saying that, we thrilled and eager to have the Dairy Farmers of Canada bring their Milk Bar to Brandon's Food Truck Warz for the first time in 2023." RCMP Musical Ride coming to Virden

 For the first time since 2016, we are pleased to be hosting The RCMP Musical Ride to recognize the 150th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  On Tuesday July 25th, 2023 the Virden Community Chamber of Commerce & Virden Agricultural Society will be hosting the RCMP Musical Ride. Join us at the Virden Ag Society Fairgrounds for live entertainment and the Musical Ride. Gates open at 5 pm, entertainment starts at 5:30 and then the ride will begin at 7 pm. A symbol of tradition, honour, and pride, The Musical Ride is a Canadian icon recognized at home and abroad. The Musical Ride supports front-line police operations by building positive relationships, supporting recruiting efforts and promoting the RCMP’s image in communities in Canada and around the world. The troop of up to 32 riders, who are all police officers, and their horses’ perform intricate formations and drills set to music, lasting about 30 minutes. these movements demand the utmost control, timing, and co-ordination. “We are so honoured to be hosting The Musical Ride once again. Seeing our community coming together to enjoy such an amazing spectacle makes us proud,” says, Carla McLean, President of the Virden Community Chamber of Commerce. One day Summer Multicultural Celebration slated for Brandon Riverbank

The Westman Multicultural Festival will be hosting a one day Summer Multicultural Celebration at the Riverbank Discovery Centre on Saturday, July 29th. The event is set to include live musical performances, dance, and other forms of entertainment as well as a number of different food vendors serving traditional foods. The event will run from 10am-10pm and a contingent of groups are to be represented including Ukrainian, Scottish, Filipino, and more. 

Dauphin’s Countryfest 2023 comes to a close

Countryfest, Canada’s longest-running country music festival took place this past weekend in Dauphin. Over 50 bands took to the 3-stages including John Fogerty, Dierks Bentley, Walker Hayes, Tenille Townes, Tim Hicks, James Barker Band, Robyn Ottoli, Honeymoon Suite, Blue Rodeo and several others. In addition to the music, the festival also features a number of other attractions/activities including food trucks, a campground contest, shopping from the many vendors, a perogy eating contest, a sports bar, beach volleyball and more.

Canada Day celebrations returned to the Brandon Riverbank in 2023, with activities (face painting, Canine Stars, children’s entertainment, Indigenous performances) starting at 10:00am.  The fun filled day also included a number of local bands on the Fusion Credit Union Stage and the popular fireworks show at dusk.
