Award winning East Indian fusion street food headed to Food Truck Warz in 2023

While relatively new to the food truck scene in the province, Potoba made in immediate impact in their first year of operation, winning the Most Original Food Truck at Winnipeg's Manyfest in 2022. Organizers of BDNMB.CA's Food Truck Warz in Brandon, MB are extremely happy to have Potoba among the roster of trucks participating at their event. "We are certain that Potoba will be a big hit among our guests" said Jody Sass, one of the event organizers. "Those looking to experience a burst of flavors that please the eyes as well as the taste buds will love this new edition in 2023". Potoba offers a unique twist on classic Indian dishes including the extremely popular butter chicken poutine. Other featured dishes on the diverse menu include Bombay Samosa Chaat, deep fried dumplings, a curry chicken wrap, and butter chicken pierogies. With exotic ingredients, familiar dishes & tongue-twisting flavours, this truck is certain to make an impact in Brandon at Food Truck Warz.

Summer Soulstice Block Party taking place today in downtown Brandon

The first ever Summer Soulstice Block Party is taking place in downtown Brandon today in the 1100 block of Princess Ave. The event has a number of activities/attractions on the go including mini axe throwing, a makers and farmers market, cornhole, nail painting, and much more. Food and beverages have been available for purchase all day and night long. Live music started at 2pm with the last act (Hasnsel) to hit the stage at 10pm. The event is being brought to you by The Dock on Princess, Kickin' Axe Throwing, and Section 6 Brewing Co. It runs until midnight for those interested in checking it out.

World’s Largest Inflatable Obstacle Course Coming to Winnipeg

The world’s largest inflatable obstacle course, The Monster, is coming to Winnipeg this summer for 4 days in early August. This is the first year The Monster will be making an appearance in Canada and it includes stops in Victoria, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Ottawa, & more. The Winnipeg event is scheduled for August 4-7 at IG Field (315 Chancellor Matheson Rd). The course, which can take up to 20-30 minutes to complete, is nearly 1,000 feet long and features 40 unique challenges (gravity-defying slides, towering inflatable walls and mind-bending mazes) that will test every challenger. In addition to The Monster, the north endzone will have a live DJ, additional games and inflatables, food options, and beverages from the Rum Hut available for purchase. Fireworks highlight Brandon Riverbank’s Canada Day celebration

Brandon's Canada Day celebration is set to return to the Brandon Riverbank once again in 2023. Organizers have planned a fun-filled day for those attending. This year, entertainment on the Fusion Credit Union Stage begins at 11:00am and the day ends with the popular fireworks show scheduled for dusk Throughout the day there are many activities/attractions planned including face painting, Canine Stars, children’s entertainment, Indigenous performances, and more. Chris Chidoni, Full Flannel Jacket, and J4K are among the main stage entertainment. A number of food vendors will also be on-site for those looking for a bite to eat.

Free concert scheduled for the Riverbank Discovery Centre

Manitoba country artist Kendra Kay will be hitting the Fusion Credit Union Stage, at the Riverbank Discovery Centre, on Thursday, June 22nd for a free concert. Kay is a 3 x Manitoba Country Music Association Fan's Choice Award Winner, 2 x Manitoba Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year, and Dauphin Countryfest Mainstage performer. She has toured across Canada with Tanya Tucker, Dean Brody, and the James Barker Band. Kendra takes the stage at 7:00pm, with opener Matt Cory kicking off the show at 6:30pm. The event is being presented by The City of Brandon's Parks & Recreation Services.
