Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s MARY POPPINS JR. Playing at WMCA

Brandon, MB – Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR. is playing at the WMCA fromNov. 15 through Nov. 17th at 7:00 PM Nightly and 2:00 PM Sunday the 18th. The “practically perfect” 70-minute musical, is based on the classic P.L. Travers stories and the Walt Disney film. The cast is made up of over 50 young people from throughout Westman ages range from 5-17 and is led by Director/Choreographer, Linda Kearns, Assistant Director George Buri, Vocal Directors Mindy Halliday and Jadyn Burr.   All of London is shouting from the rooftops about this exciting stage adaptation of the classic tales of Mary Poppins. Join the Banks family as they encounter adventure after fun-filled adventure with their curious new nanny, Mary Poppins. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Sherman brothers songs such as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Feed the Birds,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” as well as wonderful new songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Westman’s Got Talent returns for 2 big nights

It's back again! The 2018 edition of Westman's Got Talent is just around the corner! There are 2 shows on November 7 & 8 (November 7 is Under 18, and November 8 is over 18). The Prairie Firehouse will again be the venue, with tickets for just $20! Proceeds from the Under 18 show will go to Kinette scholarships, and proceeds from the 18+ show to be donated to the Brandon Bear Clan. Do you have a talent to share? Canadian country music star Aaron Pritchett coming to Brandon

Canadian country music singer Aaron Pritchett will be bringing his "Out on the Town" tour to Brandon's WMCA on Tuesday, February 4th.  The Vancouver born artist has released eight albums and has won numerous British Columbia Country Music Association awards including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Single of the Year.  In 2017 his album, The Score was nominated for a Juno award as the Country Album of the Year. Joining Pritchett on tour will be Kira Isabella and David James Music Tickets go on-sale Friday November 2 @ 10am.

Comedy extravaganza will have audiences in stitches

Local event promoter Ryan Pandolfi has announced another talent-laden comedy show to take place in Brandon.  The event goes Sunday, January 27th (2019) inside the Keystone Centre's Amphitheater and features four talented and experienced comedians.  Among the comedians scheduled to perform are Patrick McKenna (Known as “Harold” from The Red Green Show) and Greg Morton (MTV & Punk’d).  Rounding out the comedians on the show are Rob Pue who has previously been showcased at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal and Big Daddy Tazz who is "often described as one of the most talented comics in the business." Advance tickets are only $20 and everyone that purchases an advance ticket will be entered into a draw for a $500 Sobeys Gift Card upon arrival.  Tickets will be made available to the public shortly.  The official Facebook event page can be found here.   BDNMB.CA has also confirmed with Ryan that that 25% of the net proceeds will be donated to a charity, yet to be named.
