Amazing burgers served up inside a barn

The Farmers Daughter restaurant, located inside The Barn in Kelwood, is one of those places that people come from km's around to visit. And they do. In conversation with bdnmb.ca earlier today, restaurant owner Connie said that during the course of a week visitors from Dauphin, Brandon, Neepawa, and even Winnipeg stop by to chow down on one of the restaurants amazing burgers, sandwiches, or freshly made cinnamon buns. Her burgers use locally sourced beef, in-house sour dough baked buns, and a tangy house sauce. No additional condiments required on these hamburgers. The cozy 5-table restaurant first opened in October of 2019. It is situated in the back half of the Kelwood Barn. A small town grocery/convenience store occupies the front half of the building, while the parking lot is home to a gas pump and an ice cream food truck. The concept for the Kelwood Barn comes from a number of investors who were looking to fill the void left when the local gas station closed their doors. The Kelwood Barn is located at the entrance to Kelwood and highly visible from the No.5 highway. Saturday's (June 4-September 10) the parking lot plays host to a farmer's market and live music. The Farmers Daughter Restaurant: 10-7 Tuesday-Saturday, closed Mondays + Holidays The Mountain General: 8-7 Monday-Saturday and 10-7 Sunday
