Fusion Credit Union Is Rewarding Members With $1.58 Million in Returns

At the Annual General Meeting held on April 20, 2022, Fusion announced a patronage allocation of $725,000 to members, plus $858,500 in cash payouts to select members, for a total return of over $1.58 million to its members. “We endured quite a storm this past year with the pandemic,” says Darwin Johns, CEO of Fusion Credit Union. “Our members weathered the uncertainty with us, demonstrating their confidence in our financially strong credit union that is focused on their needs. Putting cash back in the hands of our members is our way of saying “thank you” for your confidence in our ability to make decisions that matter to you and your communities.” A patronage allocation is a value returned to a member of Fusion Credit Union based on their relationship with the credit union. The patronage amount is a portion of interest paid and earned during the past year and varies from member to member. All patronage allocations are retained in a Surplus Share account and select member groups receive cash payouts. This year, $858,500 will be paid out in cash to members 65 years of age and older and those under age 19, as well as members who hold over $15,000 in surplus shares. Eligible members will see their patronage allocation on their April statement; any cash payouts will be reflected on their May statement. “We had an incredible year of growth and development at Fusion,” states Johns. “Our members are true owners, and we are both happy and honored to share our accomplishments with them. Manitoba High School Rodeo Association has a new Full Saddle Sponsor

The Manitoba High School Rodeo Association (MHSRA) is thrilled to have Westoba join the season as a new Full Saddle Sponsor. Westoba Announces Wyth Financial Grant for Truth and Reconciliation Week 2022

Westoba Credit Union (WCU) is proud to announce funding received from its partner, Wyth Financial, in the amount of $5000.00 to support the Truth and Reconciliation Week 2022 event in Brandon. Wyth Financials’ Empowering Your Community grant program supports initiatives that build better communities. #ConnectingWestman Tour Announced For Return After Two-Year Hiatus

Westman Communications Group (WCG) announced today its annual #ConnectingWestman Tour is returning after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 health restrictions. The Tour will be kicking off on June 16 and will end on September 8, 2022. The last time WCG held the #ConnectingWestman Tour was back in 2019, which was also the first year it took place. The 2019 Tour was a smashing success, and WCG looks to bring that momentum back. “The #ConnectingWestman Tour is an initiative that raises funds together with the community to benefit a local cause and is something that we knew we wanted to make an annual event,” said Marketing Manager, Courtney Baxter. “The success of our first Tour in 2019 proved that this was something our communities really enjoyed and that we could carry on for years to come.” WCG staff will hit the highway this summer making four community stops. The Tour will kick off in Minnedosa on June 16 before heading to Dauphin on July 21, Neepawa on August 25, and wrapping up in Roblin on September 8. “We are proud to support local and make an impact in the communities we serve,” explained Baxter. “Being able to go to different communities each year with the #ConnectingWestman Tour makes us feel more connected to our members, and the local fundraising causes that matter to them.” WCG, WCGtv, Westman Communications Business Solutions, 94.7 STAR FM, and Q Country 91.5 FM will be hosting barbeques, which support local charities and organizations, as well as open houses to allow community members to preview WCG communication services and ask questions.
