The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE” Gary MCIVOR FOR Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Weapon.  On April 10th, 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation, Police conducted a search warrant at Gary MCIVOR’s residence on Madison Crescent. Police located Cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia along with cash and weapons. MCIVOR was arrested and released, however has failed to attend court, therefore a warrant of arrest has been issued for Gary MCIVOR as his whereabouts are unknown at this time. CRIME OF THE WEEK for October 18th, 2023 The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Theft Under $5000  On October 7, 2024, a male thief walked into a building located in the 200 block of 8th street.  The male suspect proceeded to steal a package that was left outside the tenant’s apartment door. Disobey Court Order X2 On October 16th police received a call reporting a 36-year-old male breaching his conditions not to communicate with an ex or come to her residence. The male was arrested on Garwood Drive. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of January 9th, 2025.   Theft Under $5000 / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime On October 16th Police received a report of stolen medication alongside residential keys for a place in the 200 block of 10th Street. The accused, 55-year-old female, was located by police and arrested in Princess Park. At the time of arrest, she was also in possession of a stolen bicycle. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date of December 19th, 2024.   Assault / Mischief On October 15th an 18-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service to report his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old female, assaulted him on October 10th. Footage was also shown of her backing into his vehicle causing damage to it. The female was arrested by police and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of November 12th, 2024.   Possession of Property Obtained by Crime On October 16th Police took note of someone in the 500 block of Victoria Avenue on a stolen Ozark trail mountain bike. (The theft had been reported on October 1st). The 38-year-old male was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 23rd, 2024.   Assault x 2, Cause Disturbance by Fighting, W/A Assault, Cause Disturbance by Fighting, FTA Court On October 15th Police were called to a high school for an assault complaint. A 16-year-old female assaulted another student along with the Vice Principal. She was arrested on October 16th and was the subject of a previous endorsed warrant (Assault and Failure to Attend Court charge). She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 17th, 2024.   Arrest Warrant On October 16th a 23-year-old female turned herself in to BPS as she was aware of her outstanding Warrant of Arrest. The female was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 17th, 2024. Charges pending are Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Failure to Attend Court and Failure to Attend Prints.   Arrest Warrant On October 16th while an officer was attending Brandon Shoppers Mall on a separate matter, a 48-year-old male was arrested as he was known to have an outstanding Warrant of Arrest. The male was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of January 9th, 2024. Charges pending are Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Trespass at Night, Breach of Probation, and Failure to Attend Court.   Arrest Warrant On October 16th Police received a call from a dealership in the 400 block of 18th Street North stating a woman had come in, taken keys out of one of the vehicles, and left walking south bound. Police located the 19-year-old woman who turned out to be wanted on an Unendorsed Warrant. No charges were pressed from the key theft. She was arrested, held in detention cells, and will attend court in the morning.   Theft Under $5000 On October 16th a report of a $2000 stolen bike came in. The caller followed the subject and got the bike back. The subject was arrested in the 200 block of 18th Street North.   Breach of Release Order (Curfew) On October 16th while on an unrelated call, police officers noted a 24-year-old male at the Discovery Centre. Officer was aware male had pending Warrant of Arrest for Breach of Curfew. He was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 14th, 2024.   Breach of Peace On October 16th a 45-year-old male attended BPS and caused a disturbance. He was arrested for Breach of Peace. He was released in the morning and transported to Safe and Warm.   RCMP Warrant Executed (Failure to Comply – Probation) On October 17th at 12:45AM police were called to a disturbance in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue. A 42-year-old male was the subject of the complaint and found also to have an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was sober, arrested and held in detention cells with court in the morning on October 17th, 2024. Winnipegosis RCMP notified.   Arrest Warrant – Failure to Comply (Probation) On October 17th at 2:32AM police identified the passenger in a vehicle as a 42-year-old female with an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. She was arrested, held in detention cells with court in the morning on October 17th, 2024.   Failure to Comply with Release Order X2 / Public Mischief On October 17th a persons check was conducted in the 200 block of 8th Street. Initially a false name was provided by one of the two females, but once identity was confirmed, it was found both have court orders preventing contact with each other. Both were arrested and lodged. They will attend court in the morning on October 17th, 2024.

Warrant Executed – Assault with a Weapon On October 15th at 11:18AM Brandon Police executed an endorsed Warrant of Arrest on a 28-year-old male currently in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre. RCMP advised the male is required for court in the morning on October 16th, 2024. Warrant Executed – Failure to Attend Prints / Failure to Attend Court X4 On October 15th at 1:02PM Police members were on an unrelated call when they located a 48-year-old male who was wanted on an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was arrested, held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service (BPS) and will attend court in the morning. DNA Warrant Executed On October 15th at 2:54PM Police members located a 37-year-old male wanted on an endorsed DNA Warrant while conducting a walkthrough of Princess Park. The male was arrested without incident and transported to BPS where the DNA process was conducted. The male was then released. Warrant Executed – Failure to Comply Probation X2 On October 15th at 5:43PM a 50-year-old female was located in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue by Police. She was arrested and released on the scene with an Appearance Notice. Court date set for December 2nd, 2024. Breach of Peace On October 15th at 8:41PM there was a motor vehicle accident at 1300 Park Avenue. The vehicle was found to have gone through a red light and struck another vehicle. Investigation led to numerous tickets being issued for improper documentation, unlawful transportation of liquor, and disobeying traffic control device. The 47-year-old male was agitated and had no other place to go which resulted in being held in cells at Brandon Police Service to prevent further issues. Warrant Executed – Failure to Attend Ident On October 15th at 11:20PM Police responded to a disturbance call in the 400 block of 15th Street. No disturbance found or admitted to however 32-year-old female on location had an endorsed Warrant of Arrest from Winnipeg Police Service for Failure to Attend Ident. She was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date in Winnipeg of December 10th, 2024, and Ident date in Winnipeg of November 18th, 2024 Assault X2 / Assault Police Officer On October 16th at 12:52AM Police attended a call in the 600 block of McDiarmid Drive for a male and female fighting. The 43-year-old female was visiting her 35-year-old male boyfriend when she began assaulting him. (Significant bump on head). A 72-year-old male tried to intervene, and she bit him on the forearm. Upon police arrival and being arrested, the female spot on the back of the officer’s head. The female was held in detention cells at BPS and will be released once sober on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 23rd, 2024. Warrant Executed – Failure to Attend Court / Driving While Suspended On October 16th at 2:00AM a traffic stop was conducted in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue. The operator of the vehicle was found to be suspended from driving and had an endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Failing to Attend Court. Released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 14th, 2024. Also issued a ticket for driving offence. Warrant Executed - Failure to Comply with Release Order X2 / Theft Under $5000 On October 16th at 3:44AM a call from an employee of an establishment in the 1800 block of Middleton Avenue reported a male in the store refusing to leave. Police attended and found a 34-year-old male with an endorsed Warrant of Arrest. The male was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 18th, 2024.

Woman Charged After Unlawful Entry at West-End Residence Early Monday

Unlawfully in a Dwelling House Early Monday morning, police were called to a west-end residence for a disturbance.  A neighbor indicated that there was noise coming from the adjoining suite and that suite should be empty.  When police arrived, they located a 20 year old female inside.  The investigation determined that she did not have lawful authority to be in the suite and was removed without incident.  She was charged for being unlawfully in a dwelling and was later released with a Court date and conditions not to attend that residence. Intoxicated and Warrants Over the past 24 hours, in unrelated events, 2 people were taken into custody for alcohol related incidents and 2 were located and found to be subjects of warrants.  They will be released sober or with court documents.

Employee Assaulted after confronting Shoplifter

On October 11th, 2 females were involved in a theft from a business in the 900 block of 18th St. N. When one of the females was confronted, she assaulted the employee and fled, leaving the merchandise behind. The second female suspect stole approximately $270 worth of merchandise. Both suspects were located and arrested. A 13yr old youth was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and will appear in Court in November, while the 19yr old was charged with Robbery with Violence and is scheduled to appear in Court in December. Golf Cart Incident Last night around 11:09pm a call was received of someone driving a golf cart in the area of the 1200 block of 9th St. The golf cart, and occupants were eventually located in the area of the 1100 block of 3rd St. The operator, a 16yrs old youth, was charged with Possession of Stolen Property and consume liquor as a minor.
