Voting stations will be open for voting on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The location of voting places will be available shortly. A voter applying by mail will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or through alternative arrangements made with the Senior Election Official. Motorcycle & Truck Collide

On Sunday evening, Brandon Fire and Emergency Services and Brandon Police Service responded to 18th St. and Willowcrest Ave for a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck. It appeared that the motorcycle ended up nearly underneath the front of the truck, but didn't appear that it was fully run over. Fire crews deployed sand to soak up a fluid spill, and an ambulance left the scene non-emergent with the motorcycle rider.

Pair face child pornography charges

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release A 14 year old male and a 14 year old female were charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Distributing Child Pornography as a result of an investigation after an allegation that they had obtained an intimate image of another youth and had forwarded that image to others. Both individuals still had this image in their possession as well and as a result have been charged and released for court at a later date.
