Police arrest male suspect in connection to stabbing incident in Brandon

PSD Blink assists police in locating illicit drugs

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On September 6, 2022 shortly before 5:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Middleton Ave.  Investigation led police to deploy PSD Blink who assisted her handler and police in locating illicit drugs within the vehicle. Further investigation into the vehicle led police to locate and seized 4 ounces of cocaine with a street value of $8000, hundreds of unlabeled pills believed to be OxyContin, Canadian currency, a .22 caliber GSG 1911 handgun which was reported stolen in 2019, a .22 caliber magazine with ammunition, and over 90 .22 caliber rounds. The 26-year-old male from Saskatchewan was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He appeared in court on September 7, 2022 on charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X2, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Careless Storage of Ammunition, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon Knowing its Possession it Unauthorized, Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon in a Vehicle, Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, And Possession of a Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime.

Group home worker assaulted, warrant requested for teen suspect

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On July 10, police received a report from a group home worker stating she had been assaulted by one of the residents. The report indicated a 16 year old female had punched the staff members repeatedly in the head.  At the time of report the victim indicated that she would see if the matter could be handled internally, however those efforts have reportedly been unsuccessful.  The suspect in this matter is no longer living in the group home and her whereabouts are unknown at this time.  As a result a warrant is being requested for the 16 year old for the charge of assault cause bodily harm.  

Woman arrested and charged after police seize bat, baton

Source: BPS News Release At 2:00 am on Sunday morning, a woman was located inside a vehicle parked in the 200 block of 4th St.  She was arrested and had in her possession a bat and a baton. She is also on a court order to not possess weapons.  The suspect, a 32 year old Brandon woman was lodged and will appear on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Breach of Undertaking on Sunday morning.

As the Keystone Centre’s official ticketing partner, Ticketmaster will provide ticketing for all Brandon Wheat Kings hockey games, concerts and events inside Westoba Place. Brandon Wheat Kings fans will have access to Ticketmaster’s industry-leading digital ticketing technology. Ticketmaster offers fans a seamless experience when buying, transferring or managing tickets. Fans can use their mobile device to easily manage verified tickets via download to a digital wallet. All home game tickets that are sold and transferred are authenticated, giving fans peace of mind as they shop their ticket options. “We are excited to introduce Ticketmaster to Wheat Kings fans,” said Drew Clayton, Brandon Wheat Kings director of ticket sales. “We want to ensure our fans have a first-class ticket buying experience and the Keystone’s move to Ticketmaster should help accomplish this.
