Male suspect utters threats towards his grandmother, attempts to strike officer

Utter Threats & Assault PO On October 4th, Police received a report of a male that had uttered threats towards his Grandmother, causing her to flee the residence in fearing for her safety. Police located the 26yr old male suspect and while being arrested he attempted to strike the officer. He was eventually released on an Undertaking to appear in Court in December. Assault In the afternoon on October 4th, a female victim was punched in the face after leaving a residence in the zero hundred block of 13th St. N. The victim and the accused were not known to each other. The 44yr old female suspect was located in the area, charged accordingly and released on an Undertaking to appear in Court in December.

Suspect found hiding in a closest comes out swinging a purse at a police officer

On October 3rd police officers attended to a home on Hawthorne Crescent to conduct warrant checks for two males, 40 and 27. Homeowner stated they weren’t home and provided consent to check the house. The 27-year-old was found hiding in a closet and upon checking the laundry room the 40-year-old came out swinging a purse at a police officer and further resisted arrest. The two were apprehended. A search upon arrest revealed two baggies of Methamphetamine in the pant pocket of the 40-year-old. He continued to resist when cuffed and upon being placed in cruiser, attempted to kick an officer in the face. Both males were held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service and will attend court in the morning on October 4th, 2024. 27-year-old male’s previous charges: Theft, forgery, misuse of credit card / Failure to Comply with Release Order Condition / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Less Than or Equal to $5000 40-year-old male’s previous charges: Theft, forgery, misuse of credit card / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Less Than or Equal to $5000 40-year-old male’s new charges: Possession of Methamphetamine / Resist Police Officer / Assault Police Officer

Crime Stoppers Wanted and Crime of the Week for October 3, 2024

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE” Judson COLON FOR Resist Arrest & Assault Police.   On November 16th, 2024, Police attended to a residence on Westaway Bay as Judson COLON was causing a disturbance. Upon Police arrival COLON was aggressive and would not follow police direction and was subsequently arrested. While COLON was being escorted to the police cruiser, he spat on police. Judon COLON was charged and released, however has failed to attend court and his whereabouts are unknown. Please contact Brandon crime stoppers with any information. CRIME OF THE WEEK for October 3, 2024 The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a; Theft Under $5000  On September 30, 2024, a female suspect walked onto private property in the 800 block of 3rd street and stole a bench that was located by the front door. Police arrest male suspect in connection to stabbing incident in Brandon

Assault with a Weapon At 5:41 pm, a call was received of a fight in progress on Cornell Bay. Upon members arriving into the area, the male suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended in the 200 block of Maryland Ave. The 18 year old male was charged with assault and assault with a weapon. The suspect had stabbed a 28 year old male and assaulted a 30 year old female. The male victim was transported to BRHC with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was held in custody to appear in court in the morning. Possession of a Controlled Substance At 3:47 am, a traffic stop was conducted in the 1700 block of Pacific Ave. The 33 year old male driver was initially arrested for open liquor in the vehicle and he provided a false name at the time. Once his real identity was learned, he was found to be breaching his curfew. Subsequent to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of 10 grams of cocaine. He was charged with failing to abide by conditions of his release order, public mischief and possession of a controlled substance. The accused was held in custody for court.
