Man apprehended after tampering with air conditioning unit on Rosser Avenue roof, police say

On August 13th at 7:05PM police were notified of a male on the roof of a business in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue who was tampering with an air conditioning unit. With the assistance of Brandon Fire & Emergency Services he was removed from the roof and apprehended. The 30-year-old male had forced entry through a fenced off area on the roof. The male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court in the morning.

Two suspects arrested in meth bust on Rosser Avenue

On August 12th at 1:38PM police observed two males actively dealing drugs in the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue. Police observed a 50-year-old male sell a bag containing meth to a 44-year-old male. Both males were arrested. A search yielded several small bags containing meth on the 50-year-old male. He was lodged for court in the morning while the 44-year-old male was released on an Undertaking with a court date of October 10th, 2024.

Early Morning Heist: Thieves Target 18th Street Business, Steal Knives and Bongs

On August 12th at 3:13AM police received a report of a break and enter to a business in the 100 block of 18th Street. Two suspects, both dressed in black, stole nine folding knives, three glass bongs and lighters. One with a backpack with a Nike swoosh and red shoes, the other wore a red bandana on the face. If you have any information pertaining to this incident, please contact police. Police continue to investigate.

Female Arrested for Robbery

On August 8th, at 10:31pm Police received a report of a Robbery in the 1000 block of Rosser Ave. During the robbery the 29yr old female victim was physically assaulted and her cell phone, tablet and purse was taken. Three (3) suspects were identified with one of them, a 41yr old female, arrested shortly after the incident. On August 10th a second suspect, a 27yr old female, was located and arrested and lodged to appear in Court today. The third female suspect has yet to be located.

Vehicle Stop Turned Drug Bust

On August 8th at 8:10PM police conducted a traffic stop at 1st Street north and the Trans-Canada Highway. The vehicle windows were tinted heavily, contrary to provisions of the Vehicle Equipment, Safety and Inspection Regulation under the Highway Traffic Act. While speaking with the 24-year-old male it was learned that he was in possession of cannabis in the middle console of the vehicle. He was arrested under the Provincial Offences Act for Unlawful Transportation of Cannabis in or on a vehicle. While seizing the cannabis a further search found 3 cell phones, a large bundle of $50 dollar bills bound by an elastic totaling $2800. Within the vehicle hatch area where the spare tire is located, three 1-kilogram bricks of cocaine were found. (Potential street value if sold at the gram level of $240,000). The vehicle was towed, and a further search found prepackaged baggies of cocaine, a loaded Glock handgun, and an extended loaded magazine. The 24-year-old male was arrested and lodged for court in the morning on August 9th, 2024.  Charges include Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammo, Possession of Prohibited Weapon of Ammo X2, Transport Firearm Contrary to Regulation, Possession of Weapon Obtained by Crime, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crack Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Crack Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Proceeds.
