Snow Clearing Update for December 30, 2025

Brandon, MB - Over the last few days, the City received between 3 - 6 cm of snow. With another 5 cm of snow anticipated tonight, crews will begin clearing priority routes tomorrow, Dec. 31 at 12 Noon. If snowfall during this event exceeds the 13 cm before priority routes are finished, a City-wide Snow Event will be triggered, and residential zones will be added to the schedule at that time. Streets, Sidewalks, and Multi-Use Paths: -Crews will start clearing the Priority 1A Route tomorrow, Dec. 31 at 12 Noon. Backlanes -Crews expect to start clearing back lanes on Fri, Jan. 2 at 8 a.m. Updates on snow clearing efforts will be available on snowmap.brandon.ca starting tomorrow, Dec. 31 at 12 Noon. Man Arrested After Breaking Window, Found With Suspected Cocaine and Meth

Possession For the Purposes of Trafficking – Cocaine/Methamphetamine On December 29th, 2025 at approximately 5:00 PM, Police received a call from a female in the 1200 block of 10th street stating that a male known to her just broke a window to her residence. On arrival, the suspect was located attempting to leave the area in a taxi. Search incidental to arrest yielded a quantity of individually wrapped powder and crystal substance believed to be cocaine and methamphetamine. The 20-year-old male was later released for Court in February 2026. Arrest Warrant – Theft Under $5000 On December 29th, 2025 at approximately 4:13 PM, Members of the Brandon Police Service conducted a pedestrian stop with a male in about the 100 block of Rosser Avenue where it was confirmed there was a warrant for his arrest for Theft Under $5000. The 40-year-old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released for Court in January 2026. Theft Under $5000 On December 29th, 2025 at approximately 4:31 PM, employees of a business located in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue flagged down Members of the Brandon Police Service as there was an individual who was concealing unpaid merchandise. Police attended and arrested the 21-year-old male for Theft Under $5000 who was later released for Court in February 2026.

Man Arrested After Police Find Sawed-Off Rifle During Downtown Brandon Walk-Through

Arrest Warrant – Breach of Undertaking, Carry Concealed Weapon, Possess Weapon Dangerous, Breach Of Undertaking x 4, Breach Of Probation On December 28th, 2025 at approximately 1:05 PM, Members of the Brandon Police Service conducted a walk-through of a business located in the 000 block of 10th street. A male was observed inside who was subject of an arrest warrant for Breach of Undertaking. Once Members had taken the male into custody, a search incidental to arrest yielded a sawed-off .22 rifle with ammunition. The 36-year-old male was arrested and held to appear for Court on December 29th, 2025. Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act On December 28th, 2025 at approximately 5:10 PM Police received a called about an intoxicated male causing issues at a business located in the 3300 block of Victoria Avenue. The intoxicated 38-year-old male was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Service detention unit to be released once sober. Arrest Warrant – Breach of Release Order, Fail to Attend Court On December 28th, 2025 at approximately 8:25 PM, employees from a business located in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue east reported a female was inside who had stolen from the business prior. Members attended and it was learned that the female was subject of an arrest warrant for Breach of Release Order and Failing to Attend Court. The 41-year-old female was arrested and held to appear for Court on December 29th, 2025.  Breach of Undertaking x 2 On December 28th, 2025 at approximately 8:52 PM, 911 radio dispatch operators received a call from a Brandon resident stating that there was someone inside her residence who should not be. Police attended and discovered a male hiding behind a furnace in the basement who was subject to conditions to not attend the residence or communicate with the female 911 caller. As a result, the 47-year-old male was arrested and held to appear for Court on the morning of December 29th, 2025.

Six Arrested in 24 Hours as Police Respond to Multiple Intoxication Disturbances

Over the past 24hrs, 5 people were reported to be causing disturbances in various locations throughout the city.  The suspects were found to be intoxicated when arrested.  All 5 were lodged for their safety and to prevent the continuation of their respective offences.  They will be released when they are sober. A sixth intoxicated male was found causing a disturbance at the Shoppers Mall.  When he was located, he was found to be bound by a court ordered condition not to consume alcohol.  He was charged for breaching this condition and released for court once he was sober.

Potential suspect identified in theft of packages

Break & Enter On Thursday December 25th, police received a report of a Break & Enter to a residence in the 1200 block of 12th St, that occurred overnight on Christmas Eve. Suspects gained entry from the rear of the residence and stole a laptop computer, a cheque book and some alcohol.  No suspects have been identified.  This incident is still under investigation. Theft of packages On December 24th & 25th, police received several reports of delivered packages being stolen from front steps in the River Heights area as well as on Rosser Ave between 2400 – 3400 blocks.  A potential suspect has been identified; however, no charges have been laid as of yet and this matter remains under investigation.
