Police investigate four break-ins Friday morning

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release Break & Enters: Members dealt with a number of break and enters reported Friday morning.  All were to sheds or garages located on residential property.  A shed was broken into on Waverly Drive and two bicycles were stolen, both of which were recovered.  A detached garage was broken into on the 600 block of 37th Street, and a bicycle stolen from there.  A work shed was also broken into on the 600 block 37th Street and some tools stolen.  These three break and enters are believed to be related.  A fourth break and enter was reported to a detached garage on the 600 block 24th Street and articles stolen.  These items were recovered during a separate incident, and a suspect identified.  These incidents are all still under investigation

Man located with shopping cart full of stolen items: BPS

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On March 25, 2021, police were flagged down by a witness who observed a male pushing a cart full of stolen items from a business in the Corral Centre at approximately 11:00 am.  The male was already some distance away from the area as he travelled south along 18th street N.  Police stopped the male near 18th street N. and McGregor Ave. In the cart were a number of stolen items including power tools.  The 23-year-old male was arrested and released to appear in court on June 14, 2021 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On March 23, 2021, police responded to a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the Corral Centre.  The 36-year-old female suspect left the business with a cart full of items valued over $600.  An employee followed her out of the business and then retrieved all the merchandise.  The suspect left the area, but she also left her wallet and ID in the shopping cart, which was used to identify her.  Police later attended to her residence and arrested her.  She was released to appear in court on June 17, 2021 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

Two individuals charged in on-going feud

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On March 16, 2021, police received a report of an assault between multiple individuals, which occurred in the evening on the Keystone Centre Grounds. One of the individuals involved received injuries, which required medical treatment. An investigation into the incident revealed an ongoing feud between those involved. Police have charged two individuals. On Friday March 19, police arrested a 16-year-old male youth for Uttering Threats. He will appear in court on June 6, 2021. On Monday March 22, 2021, police arrested an 18-year-old male. He will appear in court on June 7, 2021 on a charge of Assault Cause Bodily Harm. The investigation remains ongoing. Police would like to thank the many individuals who have come forward with information on this matter.

Police K-9 assists in locating two suspects hiding inside a compound

Source: Brandon Police Service Media ReleaseOn March 21, 2021, police responded to a report of suspicious activity in a business compound in the 800 block of on 49 street E at approximately 11:00 pm.  Police located an unoccupied unauthorized vehicle within the compound prompting a search of the area with the assistance of Police K-9.  Police K-9 located the two suspects who were hiding.  Following their arrests, further investigation led police to discover they were in possession of a small quantity of Meth, property they were attempting to steal from the business and break in instruments.  A 49-year-old male will appear in court on June 10, 2021 on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Meth.  A 22-year-old male will also appear in court on June 10, 2021 on charges of Possession of Break-in Instruments, and Possession of Meth.
