Source:Brandon Police Service Media Release At 2:05 PM Friday afternoon, an employee from Superstore reported that a 43 year old male, known to them, and another male suspect, had stolen approx. $100 in meat products from the store. At about 2:45 PM, the primary suspect was located in the 900 block Rosser Avenue and arrested for theft.  He was also found to be in breach of a Probation Order that directed he abstain from alcohol, as he was intoxicated.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and later released to appear in court on April 9th.

Daylight saving time returns to Manitoba early in the morning of Sunday, March 8, when clocks across the province will be advanced by one hour. Brandon Fire & Emergency Services would like to remind the public to "install new batteries in your home’s smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detector". "For added protection, it is recommended to also install smoke alarms inside all bedrooms. Carbon monoxide alarms are to be installed outside all sleeping areas if your home has a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage". The official time change to daylight saving time occurs at 2 a.m., Sunday, March 8 at which time clocks should be set ahead to 3 a.m.  

Visibility was severely reduced Wednesday afternoon in Brandon as an intense snowfall event hit the city. Earlier in the day, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for many regions in the Province.

Curtis grew up in Brandon, attending Vincent Massey High School, where he played competitive hockey with the AA Brandon Wheat Kings in Junior. After hockey, DeMarce found a new passion and love in the art and sport of Mixed Martial Arts. DeMarce made his Professional Debut at the young age of 18, making him the first and youngest fighter professionally out of Brandon, MB and one of the youngest in the Country. In September of 2016 DeMarce became the first and only Champion in Mixed Martial Arts to bring a professional title to the city of Brandon, MB.
