Police K-9 Tracks Suspect in Attempted Vehicle Break-Ins

On May 26, 2024 shortly before 3:00 am, police responded to a report of suspects attempting to break in to vehicles near the 1900 block of Louise Ave.  Police canine conducted a track and located one suspect in the 2600 block of Victoria. The 26-year-old male was arrested and found to be in possession of break-in instruments and a knife.  He was to abide by conditions not to possess any weapons.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order and Possess Break-in Instruments.

Break and Enter to Business

On May 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 pm, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 2100 block of Victoria Ave.  Suspects gained entry by throwing a cinder block through the front glass window which then triggered a business alarm.  Stolen was a guitar.  The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Male victim stabbed twice in the chin, once in the cheek

On May 23rd at 7:41 pm Police were called to a disturbance at residence in the 600 block of 9th street. Officers located a 36-year-old male who had been stabbed twice in the chin and once in the cheek. He was transported to hospital in stable condition. The injuries were superficial and not considered life threatening. The suspect and victim were known to each other. The investigation is continuing.

On 2022-09-03, Pamela MOOSE enter a Brandon residence and assaulted another female by hitting her several times with a bat like weapon. CRIME OF THE WEEK for May 23, 2024 The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Uttering Threats.  On April 28, 2024, security at a business located in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue approached a male inside the business. The male in the white t-shirt told security to leave him alone or he would get a gun that he had in his car. Female suspect arrested after stealing cosmetics

On May 22nd at 9:25 pm A business in the 1500 block of 18th street called to report a female had just stolen a lot of cosmetics and fled in a taxicab. A traffic stop was conducted, and the female was arrested in possession of $157 worth of stolen cosmetics. The 37-year-old female was arrested and released for court on July 29th, 2024.
