The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE”: William HEAMAN FOR Theft Under $5000. On March 30th, 2024, William HEAMAN and an unknown male entered a business located in the 900 block of 18th Street North. The unknown male purchased a television then leaves the business and gives the receipt to HEAMAN. HEAMAN then proceeds into the business and takes the identical television. HEAMAN shows the receipt to an employ and walks out without paying. HEAMAN’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, please contact Brandon crime stoppers with any information. ***************** On April 9, 2024, 3 suspects were captured on surveillance in the 900 block of Dennis Street. Teen suspect arrested following assault on schoolmate

On April 10th at 09:30 am Police arrested a 13-year-old male for assault causing bodily harm. On April 4th, a 13-year-old female reported she was assaulted by a male she goes to school with. The victim had facial injuries that required stitches. The accused will appear in court on June 25th, 2024.

Vehicle blows through 2 red lights, driver arrested for dangerous driving

On April 7th at 9:59 pm Police observed a vehicle driving erratically in the 1400 block of 18th street. The vehicle was observed to blow through two red lights as it continued southbound. Police activated emergency equipment, but the vehicle did not stop and headed south out of town. A pursuit was not initiated. Officers observed the vehicle hit the ditch at the corner of 18th street and the Eastern Access at a high rate of speed. No serious injuries were reported. An 18-year-old male was arrested for dangerous driving and flight from police. Alcohol was not a factor and the driver stated he was racing. The accused was later released for court on June 17th, 2024.

Brandon police see busy crime weekend

Break and Enter to Business On April 6, 2024, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a fenced business compound in the 300 block of Park Ave E.  Suspects cut the fence overnight.  Once inside they stole more than $6000 worth of industrial cable. Assault On April 6, 2024 shortly after 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The victim, an adult female, was punched in the face by a 27-year-old male.  She did not require medical attention.  The male was later located and arrested at a separate residence.  He was released and will appear in court on June 10, 2024 on a charge of Assault. Break and Enter – Suspects Arrested On April 6, 2024 shortly before 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of 3 individuals who had just forced their way into an apartment in the 000 block of 10th street.  Police arrested the 3 individuals while they were still in the residence.  The 33-year-old male suspect will appear in court today on a charge of Break and Enter.  The 31-year-old male will appear in court today on charges of Break and Enter, Fail to Comply with Release Order and Resist Arrest.  The 33-yar-old female was released to appear in court on June 3, 2024 on a charge of Break and Enter. Assault  On April 6, 2024, police received a report that a female had been assaulted earlier in the day by a 38-year-old male.  The victim did not require medical attention. The male was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the female, and he was to abstain from consuming alcohol.  The male was located and arrested at his residence.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault and Fail to comply with Release Order X2. Assault On April 7, 2024, shortly before 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault in a residence.  The 23-year-old female assaulted an adult male by hitting him and scratching him leaving minor injuries.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on May 13, 2024 on a charge of Assault. Assault On April 6, 2024, an adult female victim attended to Brandon Police Service and reported an assault which occurred earlier in the day at a residence by a 44-year-old male.  She received minor injuries from the assault.  The male was already in police custody on a related matter.  He remained in custody and will appear in court today on a charge of Assault. Breach of Probation On April 6, 2024 shortly after 2:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male at a business in the 900 block of 18th street N.  The male was unwelcome in the business and he was to abide by conditions not to attend it.  Police arrested the 26-year-old male.  He was later released to appear in court on June 3, 2024 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation Order. Disturbance in Licensed Premise On April 7, 2024, shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a business in the 1000 block of 10th street.  The 23-year-old male was attempting to fight with employees there.  He was arrested and lodged to prevent any further issues.  He will be releases once sober and issued a fine under the LGCCA. Breach of the Peace On April 6, 2024, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing issues in a residence.  The male was initially cooperative and left, however he returned later in the day and continued to cause issues.  He was arrested shortly before 6:00 pm and lodged until sober. Breach of the Peace On April 7, 2024, shortly after 3:00 am police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in a residence whose behavior was causing concern for others.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober, to prevent his actions from escalating. Breach of the Peace On April 7, 2023 shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 000 block of 10th street.  The male was unwelcome and would not leave.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from continuing. Arrest Warrants On April 6, 2024, police located and arrested a 52-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today. On April 7, 2024, police located and arrested a 29-year-old female on an outstanding charge of Mischief Under $5000.  She was released to appear in court on June 17, 2024.

Occupant suffers injuries falling out window of burning residence in Brandon

On April 6, 2024, at 1:34 am, police and fire/emergency services were dispatched to fire at a residence in the 300 block of 15th Street.   The fire was extinguished shortly after fire and emergency services arrived and appeared to have originated on the 3rd floor.  Emergency services located and transported an injured occupant of the 3rd floor suite to hospital.  The occupant had sustained injuries as a result of falling from a 3rd story window.  The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
