Woman found to be in possession of bear spray reportedly gives police false names

On January 17th, 2019, at 10:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in a parking lot in the 900 blk of Victoria Avenue. Initially the driver would not provide any identification. Once the 34 year old Brandon woman was arrested she provided police with numerous false names as well as providing stolen identification. As a result of this incident the accused was charged with: Possession of a Weapon, Possess of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Property Obtain by Crime, Possess of a Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order, Breach of Probation, Public Mischief, Possess a Scheduled Substance (CDSA) as well as a Breach of her Recognizance x2. The accused also had 2 warrants out of Winnipeg and 1 from Brandon. As a result of this incident, the accused was lodged at BCC for Brandon Court on January 18th, 2019.
